Duluth Charter Fishing Guides
Duluth Charter Fishing Guides
Is the only active association of charter boat operators fishing in Minnesota waters of Lake Superior. We are united to offer you, the consumer, easy access to lake superior fishing, and local information.
We offer fishing for Lake Trout, Chinook and Coho Salmon, and Walleye. On the “big lake” as well as the St. Louis River.
The captains on this site are all seasoned veterans with many years of Lake Superior fishing experience. They will not only work hard for you but they also work together as a team, exchanging information among themselves, insuring you the best possible results. They also allow you to “pick up the rod” and real in your fish. Fish cleaning and bagging is free.
The Captains listed are independent owners/operators of their charter business and set their own rates. For Lake Superior fishing, expect to pay in the neighborhood of $360 to $460 for a half day (5-6hrs). For a Full day (9-10hrs) $460 to $700. These prices are “per boat”, NOT per person.
Lake Superior and the St Louis river fishing
The estuary offers great fishing from late April until October for most captains. Spring fishing starts when the ice is gone and the water starts to warm. Lake trout can be caught deep in their winter feeding grounds. Salmon congregate near the Duluth and Superior entries and along park point. As the water warms the fish gradually move out into deeper water. By July the surface water has warmed and the fish are found at deeper and deeper depths. The methods of fishing changes as the conditions change. there is no typical year as far as weather goes, the only thing that is certain is change. We hope you will join one of our fine captains for an enjoyable day of fishing on Lake Superior.
We offer the perfect solution for large group charters and corporate team building charters
